While traveling, I create FREE videos of properties listed on Expedia.com, Hotels.com and VRBO.com. I edit and submit the videos to Expedia, who pay me for the rights to use these videos to promote YOUR listing and their brands.

This service costs you absolutely nothing. There are no strings attached.

All I need from you is access to your guest amenities and the guestroom(s) you’d like to feature for about 15 minutes during my Monday-Thursday 2:30p-5:30p working hours. I choose one neighborhood to focus on per day, specified in the email you received. I may arrive anytime between 2:30p and 5:15p. I will do my best to provide a specific time and keep you updated via email or WhatsApp if I am running early or late.

Expedia Video Guidelines

  • Video content The video will include 2-3 key areas of the property, like the exterior, rooms, dining, or pool, along with activities like yoga or spa.

    • The video will not include myself or other identifiable people in the video.
      Crowds and anonymous individuals are acceptable when captured from behind.

  • Video duration 10-30 seconds, with a maximum of 40 seconds

  • Format Only .mp4 and .mov formats are accepted

  • File size Must not exceed 500 MB

  • Resolution Minimum resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels

  • Orientation All videos must be filmed in portrait mode (9:16)

  • Audio Avoid including music, voiceovers, or sound effects. Expedia may remove or replace audio in accepted videos

  • Ownership, License and Rights to Publicity of Content

    I am the sole owner of all videos I produce. Expedia will be granted a license to us this video for the purposes of promoting your brand and theirs.

    • I sell Expedia the rights to use this video for $150. I am able to sell you the rights, as well. If you would like to use the same video for your own website and social media, I am ethically obligated to charge you the same rate that Expedia pays for the same video: $150.

      • Under no circumstances can I give you the rights to the video for free, though I may consider an exchange of services: $150 credit or one night’s stay, whichever value is greater.

        • I can only offer this exchange to very limited number of participants. I shoot 12 hotels daily, Monday through Thursday. That’s 48 hotels per week. I give preference to hotels that I choose to feature on my own website and social media platforms.

Featured Hotels

Over 10 million viewers toured my business on @calebwsimpson ‘s accounts.

Hotels that would like to be featured on my website and social media platforms must offer a minimum 4-7 night stay to allow me time and access to create quality content in excess of the 30 second video I produce for Expedia.

Featured Hotels will include 3-5 minutes of footage, with voiceover and, in some cases, my presence on the screen. I will feature, for example, breakfast service, amenities like fitness rooms, saunas, pools, restaurants, lounges, etc. I will include quality still images in the article, as well.

I produced this video for my 9 bedroom guest house in Brooklyn, NY.

While staying at your hotel, I will also post daily casual content to my social media platform, in addition to the edited video that will be posted following my stay.

I am not reviewing Featured Hotels. I am their to show your hotel in the best possible light. I am not there to be critical. As an Expedia Affiliate, I include an affiliate link to your hotel that earns me a commission every time a visitor books your hotel through my page or profile. Rest assured, I am trying to sell your business. I owned a bedroom Guest house in Brooklyn, NYC from 2009-2014. I understand both sides of this business far better than most content creators.

At present, hotels are featured purely on an exchange basis. I do not charge any fees to feature your hotel. I simply highlight the services that you offer in exchange for coverage. If you want me to feature your restaurant, you will need to provide a meal. If you want me to feature your spa services, you will need to provide the service at no cost to me. I will feature all spaces and amenities that you provide me access to.

My website is hosted on Substack, currently the number one American Social Media App in the Apple Store. It’s a multimedia platform with a newsletter as it’s primary offering. My monthly newsletter has 5,200 Subscribers and a 60% open rate…that’s 10-20% higher than the average. Because email newsletters are a far more powerful, reliable tool than social media. These numbers are equivalent to 20k followers on Instagram or Tik Tok based on the amount of attention and engagement the subscriber gives to the information presented.

I have only recently begun creating content, and my following has grown rapidly, thanks largely to having been a featured travel expert in a November CNN article. With my Expedia partnership in place, I look forward to rapid growth on all platforms and sharing that growth with partners like you. My Tik Tok account has 11,000 followers, and my Instagram has 4,000.
